Telangana police receive FICCI Smart Policing Awards

Telangana police on May 25 received FICCI Smart Policing Award 2017 in five categories - two separate initiatives besides three special jury awards out of 133 entries from various state police forces and central armed police forces.

Director General of Police, Anurag Sharma received the award for the initiative - smart passport verification process, while Assistant Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime, KCS Raghu Vir received the award for cyber Forensics Lab initiative in the category of Cyber crime.

The Special Jury Award for Smart Police Officer, awarded to Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, M Mahender Reddy was received by Additional Commissioner of Police, T Murali Krishna.

Another Special Jury Award for Finger Print Identification and Network System was presented to Suryapet district superintendent of police, J Parimala Hana Nutan, while Special Jury Award for Smart Innovative Policing was also conferred upon Telangana police.

The awards were presented by Meenakshi Lekhi, MP, Delhi, Y K Modi, Chairman, FICCI and G K Pillai, Former Home Secretary of India during the ninth edition of the annual coonference on home land security held at the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers Of Commerce and India), New Delhi.
