Kiran may join BJP

The News Bureau, Dec 31

The Bharatiya Janata Party appears to have given its green signal to the former chief minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy to join the saffron party. According to sources, Kiran is likely to embrace the BJP in the presence of Amit Shaw, who is expected tour in Telangana in January.

Kiran seems to have decided to harness his political career, which almost came to an end after his unsuccessful attempt to win 2014 elections. He

floated his own party ‘Jai Samaikhyandhra Party’, which was later deserted by all.

Kiran is understood to have taken a decision to make a come-back into active politics. He was known for his integration and unity of Telugus. He was opposed to the division of Andhra Pradesh.

Perhaps BJP thought it fit to have a leader from Chittoor district to gain political mileage.

Member of the legislative Assembly for four times in united Andhra Pradesh, Kiran was a Congress leader and his father N Amarnath Reddy was also a minister.
