Maneka pats brave kids

The children who have been rewarded with national bravery awards called on the Union Minister of Women and Child Development Maneka Sanjay Gandhi at a function in New Delhi on Friday.

Maneka applauded the brave children for their courage. Children between 8 and 18 years have been rewarded for exemplary presence of mind and courage.

The bravery awards instituted in 1957 have been given annually by the Government of

ndia and Indian Council of Child Welfare.

The awards give due recognition to the children who perform meritorious acts of courage and set an example before others.

The Bharat award has been given to 16- year Resham Fatima of Uttar Pradesh, Gita Chopra award to 13- year Gunjan Sharma from Assam and Sanjay Chopra ward to 16- year Devesh Kumar from Uttar Pradesh.
