Rs 1900 fcr for e-governance

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said that Central has been implementing e-governance at a cost of Rs 1900 crore. The project would help motivate automation of transactions for Employees State Insurance Corporation.

The minister also announced in Hyderabad on Janauary 4, that under the banner Panchadeep an enterprise resource planning system would be functional in India. The system would store data connected to the employees on drugs given, tests conducted and medical history of the staff. 

Stating that this one of the largest IT-enabled databases, he said the system would do away with the intervention of middle men. Insured persons would get biometric cards.  Payments, third party bills, loans and advances, LTC of the employees would be taken care of.
