Steps to raise skill dev

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ( MSME ) Kalraj Mishra said the Central Government was taking steps to spread entrepreneurship, skill development and sustenance of MSME units.

The minister inaugurated a symposium on “Growth and Prospects of MSME Sector in Emerging Scenario” organised by National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) in collaboration with (CII) h

re on January 8.

Mishra asserted that MSME would play a key role in the revival of the Indian economy and emerge as a potent tool to exploit the demographic dividend. Government’s initiative of “Make in India” increases the share of the manufacturing sector in the GDP from 14-15 percent to 25 percent by 2022.

Kalraj Mishra impressed upon panelists and delegates to discuss strategies for strengthening the units so that their products are acceptable in the global markets.

More than 400 delegates representing government, industry, associations, financial institutions, and experts are attending the meet.
