A curfew was obligatory in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district late weekday following communal clashes, authorities same on Friday.

“Curfew was obligatory in Samba district when violence erupted there following alleged non secular irreverence by members of 1 community,” a police official told IANS here.

Violent clashes erupted yesterday evening at Raya Morh space in Samba district wherever protesters torched the vehicle of the d

strict adjudicator and smashed alternative vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar route.

Several policemen and protesters were bruised within the clashes. Army was referred to as throughout the night to put in confidence among the individuals, district administration officers same.
