GMR Hyderabad had registered cheque bounce case on Kingfisher Airlines

A city court on Monday deferred till May 25 its request on the quantum of sentence for industrialist Vijay Mallya in two check ricochet bodies of evidence recorded against him by the GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd.The Third Special Magistrate Court, which was to maintain its requests on Monday, again put it off as Mallya did not show up before it, said GMR counsel Ashok Reddy.

ority of the now outdated Kingfisher Airlines on April 20, had prior deferred the requests on May 5 on the same grounds. The alcohol aristocrat was sentenced under the Negotiable Instruments Act in two cases relating of skipping of two checks.

The checks were issued by Kingfisher Airlines to GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, which works the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here towards charges for utilizing the offices at the air terminal for its flights. Mallya, who has defaulted on installment of credits to the tune of Rs.9,000 crore to different banks, is right now in Britain.
