She breaks a record again

Mithali Raj has done it. She made history abroad. Indian captain Mithali Raj excelled her senior in cricket beating the record of Charlotte Edwards.

She took maximum runs in the women’s ODI cricket at ICC Women’s World Cup match against Australia at the County Ground in Bristol.

She was also dubbed as Tendulkar of women’s cricket

She continues to break records 18 years after her entry into cricket. Raj also named as the first woman to score seven consecutive 50s in ODI cricket.

At 19, she still hits the headlines scoring 214 runs against England at Taunton. It was the highest individual Test score.

Mithali’s captaincy came in 2005 when she was 22 and captained India to its first ever Women’s World Cup final.

At 16 she joined the cricket and made a century against Ireland at Milton Keynes. It makes her the youngest to have made a hundred in ODI.
